Stoddard White Jr v. Twentieth Century Fox Corporation

There's Something About Mary film 1998
Plaintiff Stoddard White Jr alleged that Defendants Bobby Farrelly and Peter Farrelly stole content from his screenplay Winter Games and used the infringing material in their motion pictures There’s Something About Mary, Me, Myself & Irene and Stuck On You.  Similarities between There’s Something About Mary and Winter Games, alleged by Plaintiff are as broad and ridiculous as, both works contain a scene where there is a prop “upright bag vacuum.” Plaintiff seeks $750,000 in damages.

Judgment: Plaintiff’s claims are DISMISSED.
