The Julia Child Foundation for Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts v. Sony Corporation of America

Plaintiffs commenced this purported copyright infringement action for the purpose of preventing SPE and CPH from producing a biographical motion picture about Julia Child, however Plaintiffs’ lawsuit, if successful, would effectively stifle the creation of any biographical motion picture about Julia Child.

Judgment: The Court having been advised by counsel for the parties that the above action has been settled, it is ORDERED that this action is hereby dismissed without costs and without prejudice.
