Leech v. WEINSTEIN CO.

Plaintiffs sue The Weinstein Co., alleging they are entitled to at least 20 percent of the adjusted gross profit to “Escape from Planet Earth”.

Judgment: ORDERED, that JTM Escape Company Limited’s motion for summary judgment is granted, and the complaint is dismissed as against said defendant with costs and disbursements to defendant as taxed by the Clerk upon the submission of an appropriate bill of costs, and the Clerk is directed to enter judgment accordingly;  it is further ORDERED, that plaintiffs’ motion for leave to amend the complaint is granted except as to their proposed claim for tortious interference with contract against JTM Escape Company Limited and claims against defendants for breach of contract and breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing related to the Production Services Agreement;  and it is further ORDERED, that plaintiffs are directed, within 30 days of the date of this order, to file and serve an amended complaint in accordance with this decision.   [Case was eventually settled — those documents are not available]
