American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada v. Columbia Pictures Industries, Inc.
The American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada asserts that Universal recycled 2 minutes and 36 seconds of the music score from the theatrical motion picture Car Wash and used the prohibited music in the television show Smash.
The complaint also alleges that Universal recycled 2 minutes and 32 seconds of the music score from Car Wash and used the prohibited music in in Season 3, Episode 3 (titled “Hunting Season”) of the television show Scandal.
